Toshiba CTX28/CIX28 Startup procedure

This is the procedure to setup your network programming capability for your Toshiba CTX28/CIX28. This is only a valid setup method if there is a Toshiba GETS (Ethernet card) installed on the motherboard of the system.

1. Remove both right and left cover panels from the Toshiba CIX28.
2. Mount the CIX28 onto backboard
3. Locate I/O ports for Power, Ethernet, MOH, lines, and stations.
4. Connect Ethernet patch cable to the GETS Card. Cable should be straight if coming from a hub, crossover if straight to laptop or network card.
5. Connect lines and stations.
6. Plug power adapter into interior power jack.
7. Reinstall cover panels to the unit chassis.
8. Plug in unit.

At least one display phone is needed in order to configure IP settings for programming from a remote location.

9. On the display telephone, enter programming with command [hold] *#*#1*2*3* password defaults as 0000. go to program 916
10. Three buttons will light up. These are locations for IP address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway. Using the speaker key, you must change the IP address to one that is within your network range.
11. Find a comfortable location to work that has network capability.
12. Install CIX eManager onto your workstation.
13. Make sure your default web browser is Internet Explorer, and that the pop up blocker is disabled.
14. Double click on the eManager on your desktop.
15. the default name is “administrator”, and password is “password”
16. Press the [CIX] button.
17. The default community name is “communityName” (case sensitive) and IP address is whatever you changed it to within your network range.
18. Begin programming.
